Austin

We had a fun 3 nights in Austin last week to visit Memaw.  We love going to Austin and this trip didn't disappoint.  Of course Memaw was there, but Tula, Aunt Ali, Benjamin, Auntie E, and Molly all came as well.  Luke asked me several times why there were no daddies coming (obviously they all had to work), I guess being surrounded by all those women can get a little overwhelming sometimes! ;)  All jokes aside, he had the best time and has been asking to go back.

In true Memaw style, we were greeted with new books, and a few other fun things.  These kids sure are spoiled!

Audrey and Memaw with the sweet doll Memaw gave her.  She has been sleeping with it since!

The boys loving all this attention!

Auntie E was totally awesome and brought an inflatable pool.  Way to go Auntie E!

Ali and I even got a special treat, and got to have an almost entire kid free day to go shopping with Molly.  We had so much fun, and Molly is all set for Rush!

Memaw also took us on a train ride in Zilker Park.  I grew up riding this train, and it was so fun to be on it with my kids.

This boy loved it!

As did this one!  Love that little hat!
Luke also got to play on the playground, and loved the huge fire engine they had.

After the park, Memaw treated us to the Catfish Parlour.  Once again, this was a place I grew up going to.  So yummy!

Audrey loving some girl time with Molly.
Later that day, we also went to the Austin Children's Museum. Luke had never been to a place like this, and was so wide eyed.  He could hardly contain himself, and ran from one thing to the next.  He was pretty much in kid heaven.
Playing in the construction zone.

Making dinner for Tula.

The little ones even had a fun time, in the baby/toddler zone.

Audrey was pretty much obsessed with Tula on this trip, and wanted her to hold her the entire time.  Tula was in heaven!

The ride home was a little rough, so please don't let the below faces fool you. ;)

This little sweetie was the main cause of all the trouble.  Looks can be deceiving! =)

Thank you Memaw for a wonderful time!  We will be back soon!

Dallas World Aquarium

Luke is one blessed boy, and got to spend a special morning with Nonnie and Aunt Tracy.  They picked him up and took him to the Dallas World Aquarium.  He had never been there, and absolutely loved it!  I have been hearing all about it since. ;)

Very serious looking at the map.

"Where to, Nonnie?"

"He looks interesting."

He loves his Aunt Tracy.

Nonnie always uses every opportunity to teach him something. ;)

WOW!

The sharks were his favorite, especially the "saw shark".

Peek-a-boo.

This boy had fun!

Wearing Nonnie's glasses, and obviously being a goofball.

Not only did he get to go to the aquarium, but he got to eat ice cream in the car.  What a lucky fella!
What a special treat it was to spend time with his Nonnie and Aunt Tracy.  This boy is so blessed with family all around to love on him.  Thanks Aunt Tracy and Nonnie!

11 Months

Audrey turned 11 months old yesterday!  One more month and we have a one year old!  She is still super sweet, but has really learned to turn on the tears this past month.  She does not like being told no, and will hold a grudge for awhile.  Last week I told her to not throw food on the floor.  We were at my parents and she looked at me and started bawling.  She then proceeded to reach out for Tula and cried on her shoulder, turning her head away refusing to look at me.  What a stinker!  I think we may have a strong yet sensitive girl on our hands.  Yeesh!  This month has brought lots of new changes for Audrey, and here they are:
  • She is standing and now taking a few steps on her own.  The most I have seen is 4 in a row.
  • Brushes her hair if you give her a brush
  • Blows kisses
  • Climbs up on the fireplace
  • Climbs up the stairs
  • Waves and says "Bye Bye"
  • Lots of "Mama", and definitely directed at me
  • Saying "Dada" more and more
  • Sometimes I think she says "ba" for ball, but that one is iffy
  • Still on 4 six ounce bottles a day, but we will be dropping those soon, yeah!
  • All table food for this girl.  I think her favorite is peas, go figure!
  • Size 12 month clothes and size 4 diapers
  • Still with 2 naps, and maybe even a short 3rd nap
Here are some pictures of our happy little 11 month old.  I just can't get enough!

"Why do my arms have so many rolls?"

Our little hula baby.

First Piggies!

Starting to get into everything!

Watching Daddy mow.

Standing girl.

Pushing her baby.

Our little stair climber.
While I was taking pictures she took about 3 steps.  It is hard to tell but these pictures are in succession of her walking to the jumpy.

Happy 11 months to our sweet girl!  We love you so much and couldn't imagine you not being apart of this family.  Enjoy your last "baby" month....tear. =(
