School started up again for us this week and the kids were so excited. Luke started Pre-K and Audrey started early preschool for the first time ever. We are most likely going to hold Luke back a year since he has a late summer birthday, and think it would be better if he was older, so this more than likely won't be his last year of preschool. He did however get to bump up the days to 3 days per week, and Audrey is going 2 days. I have a total of 4 free days all to myself for 5 hours before the baby comes. I just don't know what to do with myself. ;) Oh wait... yes I do, take a nap!
Last Friday was Meet the Teacher and the kids were so excited!
Luke ran into his Monkey class buddies from last year and we are a little sad they aren't in his class this year.
Audrey made a bee line for the baby section in her class, and was happy as a clam tending to all the babies.
Ben is actually going to our school this year, and he and Audrey have the same teacher. They are not in the same class though. Ben goes M/W and Audrey T/TH. We decided it was best to split them up, since they spend so much time together anyways, and Audrey can tend to boss him around a bit. They did enjoy seeing each other at Meet the teacher though. They are both with Ms. Kathy, and we LOVE her! She taught Luke when he was 2!
Tuesday was the first day and again, they were so excited. Audrey is a Penguin and Luke is a Caterpillar. It is almost impossible to get a pic of the 2 of them these days!
Luke said he needed to do some "good poses". Super Pose.
Knight Pose.
Finally a decent one. :)
Love this grin!
Luke walked right in and got to work. He thinks he is so big now that he is in the "4 year old class".
I couldn't get a picture of Audrey because she was too busy looking at everything, but here they are after I picked them up. Both had awesome days! Audrey even stayed dry and went on the potty like a big girl! Luke complained about being hungry in the morning. He had refused to eat breakfast that morning, and I warned him he would get hungry, which ended in a big battle. I was kind of glad he got hungry, and saw that mama was right!
Here are day 2 pictures. Again we have a super pose. Luke came down at 6:40 that morning fully dressed in this outfit he chose, and even wet and styled his hair. He was ready for more!
Audrey got to sport this adorable dress from my mom's friend Traci. Thanks Traci, it is precious!
We can't wait to see what the year brings!
so so cute! How nice to know that they are somewhere they love to be having fun and learning while you get a break! I'm sure that will be even sweeter when baby #3 arrives soon!
ReplyDeleteThey are both so precious! Enjoy your last couple of weeks as a mom of two. I'm anxiously awaiting the news that baby #3 is here, and can't wait to learn if it's a boy or a girl!
