The kids finished up their school year 2 weeks ago, and we have been having a great summer so far. Luke just finished Pre-K and Audrey finished her first year in the 2 year old class. They both had wonderful years, and learned so much. I love their school, and am so pleased my children are able to go there. We have decided to hold Luke back a year and start him in Kindergarten in 1 more year. He is super smart, and did fantastic this past year. I know he would do great in kindergarten if he went, but we just decided that with a late summer birthday, we wanted him to be able to be the oldest in his class vs. the youngest. A little maturaty never hurt anyone! HaHa! We will also be doing this with Audrey, as her birthday is August 31st. She makes the cut off by one day, and could technically start kindergarten when she is 4. This is just the best choice for our family, and by doing this, it will keep all 3 kids 2 grades apart from each other.
Luke is super excited about next year though, because he will be in TK. Our school has a whole class just for kids like Luke with summer birthdays who decide to wait to start kindergarten. It is "Transitional Kindergarten". This is awesome, because he won't have to repeat a year. He is also very excited about being the oldest in the school! Haha!
Here are our two monkeys on the last day.
And the first day.
They had lots of super fun activities at the end of the year. Luke and Audrey were so excited about splash day!
Their end of the year parties were a ton of fun as well.
We love Ms. Kathy and Ms. Jaquie!
Audrey got to attend Luke's party, and he was just the sweetest big brother ever. He included her in everything. Melt my heart....
Luke and his buddies. 3 of the 5 will be with him next year in TK.
We love Ms. Margaret and Ms. Kim.
Even though Luke won't be going to kindergarten next year, he still participated with his class in the graduation. Too cute!
All the kids got a chance to say what they wanted to be when they grew up. Luke is a big talker and told me that the teachers had to keep telling him that he could only say what it was, not explain things. Haha! So he said he wants to be a "Rescue Diver". From what I have gathered, this is basically a coast guard diver. Love our little man!
I can't believe another year has flown by. Now it's time for summer fun!!!
