We went on an amazing vacation at the end of July to California courtesy of Nonnie and Grandpa. We spent 3 nights in Anaheim where we went to the Disney parks, and then the rest of the week was spent in San Diego. Here is the trip for the first two days.
Our first time on an airplane as a family of 5! It went really well! Brian and I also realized it was the first time on an airplane with kids, without any other extended family.
We landed in California and had some time to kill, so we drove to Huntington Beach for lunch. We had no idea, but a huge surf competition was in the works, and was very cool to watch.
We then headed back to our hotel to chill for the rest of the day. Our hotel had some fun water play areas for the kids.
This was also our first time with all 5 in one hotel room. The kids did great, even though Luke wasn't happy to have his sisters in his bed.
Savannah ended up sleeping on the floor, and then the pack and play once that was delivered.
The night pretty much went like this.
The next morning the kids were up at 4:30 Cali time and ready to roll. We met Aunt Tracy at the gates. Disney California Adventure was so much fun!
Audrey asked all day to ride the "Mickey Coaster". I am very afraid of heights, so I sat this one out, while the rest of the crazies got on.
Audrey thought it was the best thing ever...
Savannah...not so much.
She got happy really quickly when she got to enjoy a Mickey ice cream and the parade.
Day 1 at the parks did not disappoint!
