Ok, so He rose a couple of weeks ago, but I am just now getting to this, eek! We had a wonderful Easter celebrating the sacrifice our Saviour made for us. Luke is really starting to understand that Easter isn't about a bunny and getting candy, but the real reason...that Jesus died for us. Of course, we still have fun with candy and Easter Bunny stuff, but it makes my heart happy that my children and starting to realize the true meaning of the holiday.
We had a fun filled Easter weekend, with more egg hunts than I can count! We started off at Tula and Pop's. A cousin hunt is always extra fun!
The next day was spent dying eggs and then we headed to church at 5. This is the first year Audrey was into the egg dying process, and she insisted on using her hands. A little messy, but fun and cute nonetheless.
We enjoyed a beautiful church service with Tula and Pop, and then headed out to our church egg hunt. It was CRAZY! There were about a billion kids and the 1000s of eggs were gone in about 2 minutes. The kids did very well patiently waiting their turn.
Savannah wasn't impressed.
The next morning, the kids woke up to some Easter bunny goodies and a backyard egg hunt.
We then went inside to make "Jesus Rolls", or Resurrection Rolls. This is our Easter tradition, and they are yummy and sooo easy for the kids to make.
We then headed to Nonnie and Grandpa's for a wonderful Easter dinner. The kids enjoyed getting leg rides from Uncle Jeff.
We are blessed because of HIM!
