Audrey is FOUR!

Our precious Audrey Girl is four today!  I can't believe it!  She is so sweet and kind and we just love her to bits.  She is the quietest of our three, but probably would be the loudest in any other family.  She just has to compete with the loudest kids I know, Luke and Savannah.  =)  She is a great little sister and big sister.  She loves playing with Luke, but also loves pushing his buttons, and knows just how to do it.  She has really started playing more with Savannah and is usually the sweetest with her.  She can be a bit of a drama queen, and if those tears start flowing, it is sometimes hard to get those floodgates down.  She is very creative and loves arts and crafts.  She loves dogs, and is my kid most into Otis.  She loves princesses, but more often than not will pick a boy show to watch or play.  She is a big fan of Ninja Turtles,  Rescue Bots, and Ninjago.  Her big brother loves this! Audrey gets her feelings hurt pretty easily, but is also pretty tough physically.  She loves to wrestle and tackle Luke, and can hang pretty well.  She is very into dress up, and changing her clothes multiple times per day.  She usually wants to wear dresses, and is very picky about her fashion choices.  So overall, Id say we have a girly girl who is also a tomboy, and I love that!  She is a little model when it comes to taking pictures, because she is always posing and I don't have to prompt her at all.  We love this sweet girl so much, and are so blessed to be her parents.

Here are her 4 year stats:

  • Height - 3 ft 4 inches (41 inches) - 75%
  • Weight- 35 pounds 6 ounces - 60%

Here are some hospital pictures and pictures from previous birthday parties.

Here she is starting at 2 weeks, then 6 months, and then yearly after that.

Happy Birthday sweet Audrey Girl!

First Day of Kindergarten

I just dropped off my big boy for his first day of school.  He was so excited and woke up at midnight asking when he could get up, and then for good, all dressed at 5:20.  He asked to go outside and look at the stars, and I had a some great one on one time with our little man.  Luke did just as we expected and walked right into school as confident as could be.  We were so proud of him.  Here are the pictures from our morning.

Growing Boy & Meet The Teacher

Man, this dude is getting big!  He starts kindergarten in 2 days, and we went to Meet The Teacher a few night ago.  He is so excited and more than ready!  Current stats are weight of 52.5 pounds and height of 3 ft 9.5 inches.  This puts him in 80% for weight and about 60% for height.  This boy is definitely solid!  Here are his growing pictures.

The first two pictures are from Kindergarten Round Up, back in May.

These are the pictures from 2 nights ago.  Again, can you tell this guy is excited?!

He is in Mrs. Richardson's class with 22 other kids.  His class consists of 7 girls and 15 boys!  Bless that woman's heart!  There are only 3 kinder classes this year, so relatively small numbers.

We are so proud of this sweet boy, and can't wait to see where life takes him!

Bible/Princess Party

We celebrated Luke and Audrey in a joint birthday celebration this weekend.  Luke turned 6 a few weeks ago, and Audrey will be 4 in two weeks.  I suggested the joint party a few months ago, and was pleasantly surprised that they were all for it.  I figured we had a small window to do a joint party, so took advantage of the two for one.  I can confidently say, they loved doing it together, and it was a success!

They each got to choose their own theme and Luke chose bible, while Audrey chose princess.  I was quite shocked when Luke first told me he wanted a bible party.  First of all, what did that mean, and second of all, what 6 year old suggests that!  I was sure as the months went on he would change his mind 10 times, but he surprised me, stuck to his guns, and we had a wonderful bible themed birthday.  This sweet boy was very into the party planning process.  He drew me actual diagrams of the cake he wanted and pretty much planned the whole thing.  I tried my best to stick with his vision.  He just amazes me with his faith.  While I know he is only 6, he says things all the time inspire me.  I was trying to make his cake a little more whimsy and suggested making it colorful, and he refused.  He wanted the icing white because that represents purity, like Jesus.  I mean...where is he getting this!  Brian and I have really tried to teach him about the Lord and share our faith, but he definitely has something inside him that cant be taught.  Makes me so proud and humble at the same time, and I can't wait to see who this little man becomes.  I pray he never looses his enthusiasm for the Lord or willingness to share about him.

Audrey on the other hand, just wanted a pretty princess cake, and didn't care about the details.  She just said make it all pink and all princess, and left me too it.  She too has such a sweet little spirit, and is definitely our little princess.

We had the party at Emler Swim School, and the kids had so much fun!  Here are pictures from the party.  Thanks to my friend, Corrie Barto, for snapping all the party shots!

Happy Birthday to our little preacher and princess!
