The Big Island

My parents generously took the entire family on vacation to Hawaii.  We went to the Big Island, which was a first.  We had an amazing time, and I can't thank my parents enough for a trip of a lifetime.  We took 1000+ pictures!  Haha...you read that right!  To be fair we just got a new camera lens, and had a ton of fun testing it out.  What a better place than Hawaii!  After going through all the pictures, and editing it down to a mere 400, I think i am just going to add, in no particular order, some of my favorites from the trip.  If you want a more complete view of the trip, check out my sister's amazing blog.  http://www.theschmidblog.blogspot.com/.  Enjoy!

Arrrr...It's A Pirate Party

Yesterday we celebrated Luke's 3rd Birthday with a small family party at home. In case you haven't noticed...Luke is obsessed with pirates, so a pirate theme was perfect.  His favorite show is "Jake and the Neverland Pirates", and Jake, Izzy and Cubby were out in full force.  Luke loved everything and was so excited to see his family in pirate gear.

Our sweet 3 year old!

The cake, thank you pinterest!  (After looking at pictures, I realized the "3" is backwards.  Dang!  I was in such a rush I just stuck it in.  Whoops!)

So excited!

The entire Gahan family.

The entire Gibson family.

Our family of four.

Even though it was Luke's birthday, Audrey got plenty of attention. =)

Especially lots of Aunt attention.  Aunt Tracy.

Aunt Ali.

Cute Benjamin didn't disappoint and was very festive in his pirate gear.

Ben was more into walking the stairs than the party. ;)

Watch out for this pirate!

He might get ya!

A fun game of "Pin the Treasure" was played.

Luke didn't quite understand that you had to keep the blindfold on.

"Happy Birthday"

Caught ya!

Luke had a wonderful birthday and spent the rest of the day playing with his new toys.  He got the "Jake and The Neverland Pirates" boat from Tula and Pop, and was obsessed!

He also spent a good portion of the day in his astronaut gear from Nonnie and Grandpa.

Ready for NASA!

Audrey loved playing getting into all of Luke's new toys, and watching him dress up.

Thank you everyone for coming!  Luke had such a great time, and we loved celebrating our big 3 year old!  On another note, I wanted to include this last picture from Satruday afternoon.  Our boy got to go to the movies for the first time with Mommy and Daddy.  He LOVED it!
