Celina Balloon Festival

We headed to the Celina Balloon Festival for the first time ever this past Saturday.  It was so much fun!  We loved it, and will definitely be making it an annual thing.  Live music, good food, kids running wild... doesn't get any better.  Here are the pics I snapped from the day.

San Diego

After our fun days at Disney, we headed down to San Diego for 4 nights.  We had some time to kill before we headed out and spent some time relaxing in our room and goofing off.

Brian's dad was a Navy Seal, and his parents lived on Coronado Island for many years, until Brian was 3 weeks old.  They loved it there, and Brian's dad did all his training at the base on the island.  It is a very fancy place to live now, with houses listed in the millions.  Here is the house we stayed in.

Here is the house that Brian's parents lived in.  Brian lived here for 3 weeks. =)  The house is 1700 sq ft, and they bought it for $80,000 in the late 70s.  It is listed as worth $1.7 million now!  Wow!  Kicking themselves for ever selling it!

They showed us all around San Diego.  We drove to La Jolla and saw the seals. (animals not Navy)

Drove to a famous lighthouse that overlooked San Diego and Coronado Island.

We went to a fun picnic in the park with some of their old Navy friends.

We had a full day at the famous Zoo.

I am scared of heights and it was a huge leap for me to ride the sky tram.

Brian and I enjoyed a nice date night out and walked around the Hotel Del and had a drink.

We walked all the way down to the naval base, and were able to see where his dad had all of his intense Seal training.

We walked back along the gorgeous stretch of beach with the sun setting to our dinner place.

We were just sitting down, when those same Naval friends happened to come into our restaurant and got seated right next to us.  These sweet people were sneaky and even paid for our dinner!

Another fun day at the park.  Luke is a goofball!

On our last day we enjoyed the beach.

Our flight home wasn't until 5:30 San Diego time, 7:30 Dallas time, so we had a lot of time to kill.  We went to a huge aircraft carrier and explored.

Once again, Daddy picked an awesome seat, the only one without a window!  So sad.

We landed at 11pm and the kids were pooped.  The flight was very rough with Savannah being terrible and peeing on the airplane floor.  Audrey was crying because she was so tired, but we survived!

Thanks Nonnie and Grandpa for an amazing trip!
