Audrey's 6 Month Photos

I know I have about a million pictures of my kids, but wanted to do an official photo shoot for Audrey at 6 months.  In the past we have paid a photographer for pictures, but lately I have been trying to get better at using our camera, and decided to try it by ourselves.  I have finally learned how to use the camera in manual mode, and what a difference that makes!  Brian also got me some fancy editing software that I am learning to use.  I have had a lot of fun with this new hobby!  For this photo shoot Brian actually took the pictures, while I jumped up and down, made silly faces, posed her, etc.  I am very happy with the way they turned out!

Just for fun...here are Luke's official 6 month pics.  They look so different to me!

Camping In The Great Indoors

Today we had a little camping experience at Isabelle and Connor's house.  It has been raining a lot and we have been stuck inside, so what could be better than a little camp out.  The 2 year olds were very excited to be sitting in their lounge chairs.

They enjoyed a wonderful meal full of plastic food from Isabelle's kitchen, while hanging out in the tent.

All that eating must have been tiring, because it was time to snuggle up in their sleeping bags and take a nap.

They even got to lay in their sleeping bags under the stars!

While the big kids were having a ball, my little love and her friend were enjoying themselves as well.

Thanks Bartos for letting us use your campground today!

Spring Break

We had a wonderful spring break.  Since neither I nor Brian is a teacher, the only thing different about this week was that Luke didn't have school.  We managed to stay busy and had a great time.  We enjoyed some time in the park with Luke's friends, Isabelle, Kate and Ellie.  Audrey also had some buddies to play with, sweet Connor and Jack.

Our girl after getting home.

Luke played a lot outside because the weather was gorgeous, but he also enjoyed some indoor fun.  I caught him arranging all of his dinosaurs in a circle.  Too cute!

On Friday, we headed to the lake.  Luke was one hard working fool.  There are some new and exciting changes going on out there, and Luke was in the thick of it.  He loves to copy anything his Pop and daddy are doing, which includes taking your shirt off while doing some manual labor.  =)

Love this side belly view! Haha, he sure has a gut on him!

While the boys were hard at work, the girls enjoyed some nice porch sittin'. Audrey loves her Tula.

On Saturday, Luke just wasn't acting like himself and by lunchtime was burning up.  We checked his temp and it was 102.  He was so tired and slept on me for about 30 minutes (this never happens!).  He then proceeded to take a nap on the couch for about an hour.  I have never seen him like this, it was so sad.

While Luke was passed out, Audrey was showing off her St. Patty's Day pride.

While Banjamin was enjoying this sweet ride.

Audrey couldn't take it anymore and had to join the fun outside.  Pop rigged up her chair so she was nice and safe. =)

Luke finially woke up and was feeling much better and decided to play in the fort.

As you can see, he still wasn't feeling good.

Benjamin was a little annoyed that no one was pushing him, but things quickly changed. =)

The new construction at the lake had Luke fascinated.  He loved watching the workers install the fireplace.  Pop was sure to get him up close so he didn't miss a thing.

Here is a picture from today with the finished fireplace.  Oh, and who is that cutie I see?

Spring Break was wonderful and we are so blessed to be able to enjoy this beautiful weather, family, a lake place, and overall healthy children.  I am happy to report that Luke has made a comeback and is fine today!

Playing at the Park

We recently discovered a cool park in Frisco, and since the weather has been so nice we decided to enjoy it.  Audrey is now able to swing and it is so fun to see these two side by side.

We kept seeing people walk by the park and then over a hill carrying fishing poles.  Well, Luke of course had to check it out. To our surprise there was a quaint little pond that was a perfect spot for a snack and some rock throwing.  Oh and please notice Audrey and I in our matching vests. ;)

After enjoying this beautiful day, we headed to Costco.  Luke loves going to Costco basically so he can eat all the samples.  A boy after my own heart. =)  Costco has great carts that allow two kids to sit in them, so this was the first time Audrey was able to ride in the cart.  Luke was very excited and Audrey enjoyed trying to grab everything in her reach!

In the above pictures, we all look so healthy, but as you can see below our house has been hit!  3 out of 4 have pink eye (praise the Lord, Audrey doesn't).  Brian and I have a nasty virus, and I have laryngitis.  Let me tell you, it is very hard to discipline a 2 year old when you can't talk! =)  I just had to document the below picture, as Luke insisted on wearing a hood like his daddy, and it is rare to see Luke laying on the couch.  Even when he watches TV, he is still usually bouncing around the room.  We are on the mend and should be better in no time.
