1st Year Chair Pictures

I like taking yearly pictures of the kids to see how much they have grown.  Luke wears the same tshirt that was his daddy's and the girls each have their own chair they sit in each year.  Here are Savannah's from the past year.

Big brother wanted in on the action, and Savannah was over it!

1 Year Check-Up

Savannah had her 1 year check-up last week.  She is a tiny little thing, and still holds the title of my smallest kid.  Here are her stats:
  • weight: 18 pounds (25%)
  • height: 30.25 inches (85%)
  • head: 18 inches (75%)
She is long and lean, like her sister, but about a pound and a half smaller in weight that Audrey was at the same age.  Savannah is doing great developmentally.  She has taken several steps, with probably 8 at the most.  The girl just doesn't want to walk!  I am pretty sure she could physically do it, she just won't.  She will take several steps to me and we all cheer, and she gets so excited.  Then if I try to stand her up to do it again, she immediately drops to the floor on her stomach as if saying, "no way, Mom, not again!".  Haha! We are happy to let her take time in this department, but I do look forward to the day when going outside to play is easier, and mama doesn't have to carry her around so much. (my neck and back are pretty shot at this point).

We are also having a struggle to stop bottles.  My other two were done by one, and it was not a big deal at all.  This little lady just isn't into the cup.  I stopped bottles for a few days and solely gave milk in a cup, thinking she would get used to it, but instead she went on strike!  She basically drank nothing, and barely peed.  We can't have that, so back to bottles we go.  I'm going to give her more time, and just not worry about it, but this is definitely something new for us.

Here is more info about our sweet one year old!
  • size 4 diapers
  • size 12 month clothes
  • 2-3 bottles a day
  • 3 solid meals a day
  • 2 naps a day and maybe a third if she had to be woken up to get big kids at school
  • says mama, dada, bye bye (kind of)
  • great eater!
  • crazy lady- my most wiggliest, destructive child to date (pictures to come in another post)
  • cuddle bug- my most cuddly baby before going to bed
Here are her monthly pictures.  Wow, what a year!

Savannah Kate, you sure are a special little lady who brings so much light into our lives.  What a blessing of a year to have with you!

I think she is glad monthly pictures are done.  OVER IT! Haha!

Hanging at Home

I love photography, and have been trying to learn more as I have time.  I recently got Lightroom, and have been trying to get good at taking pictures in manual mode vs aperture.  I have been getting in lots of practice, by just taking daily "normal life" pictures of the kids.  I love these three silly monkeys, including the one in the last picture. =)

ONE!

Sweet little Savannah turns ONE today!  I can hardly believe it.  I think the time flies even faster the more kids you have.  Her birth day was one to remember!  Daddy's scar is also a year old today as well.  Haha!   We are so blessed by this precious addition to our family, and what a year it has been!

Yeah for our big ONE year old!

A Fancy Audrey Tea Party

A couple of weeks ago, we had so much fun celebrating our "Fancy Audrey".  She loves the Fancy Nancy books, and loves dressing up, so we thought a fancy tea party would be perfect.  We had a small family party, and asked everyone to come in their fanciest attire.  It was so much fun!

We started the day off by getting extra fancy with spongies.  This was a first for Audrey, and it brought back so many memories for me.

The party was set for 3:00 and the guests did not disappoint in their fancy attire.  Audrey was in heaven!  Audrey also helped design the cake, and it got the approval for being "very fancy".

Audrey loved the fancy table, and was so excited to be the center of attention.

Tea time!

Luke provided some entertainment for the guests.

Luke is a man of many talents, and wanted to put on a magic show at the party.  We practiced everyday for a week, and he did so good.  Audrey got to help with the finale.  My Pepaw gave me a legit magic set when I was probably 10.  I have saved it all these years, and it is so fun sharing it with my kids.  He would have loved it!

The magic show was a crowd pleaser.

Audrey got plenty of help opening her gifts.

We had so much fun celebrating our Fancy Audrey.  What a special girl she is!
