Super Party Time!

We celebrated Luke's 4th birthday last Saturday with a Superhero party!  This was the first year to do a party that included friends, and Luke was very excited.  Here is the cool invite that my brother Grant designed and created.  I love them!

We had the party at the Little Gym, and since one of Luke's new obsessions is superheroes, the theme was obvious.  He was so excited to get this party started!

The cake and cupcakes.  I continued the tradition of making them myself, and had so much fun doing it!  Thanks again, to the talented Uncle Grant for the cake topper graphics!

The beginning of the party was spent having free play time, and the kids went wild!

Then there was an organized play part, and the kids really got into it!  We were super happy with everything, and recommend Little Gym to anyone.

The two besties, Ben and Audrey, were focusing really hard. :)

Superheroes unite!

The two besties, not doing such a good job at focusing during this part. :)

Parachute time!

The birthday boy got to be the center of attention in the middle of the parachute.  He didn't mind one bit that his little cousin wanted to tag along!

Air Track Time!  (Or as Luke liked to call it Air Mattress Time!)

Audrey wasn't really into the Air Track.  It was a little crowded for her. :)

After all that playing, it was time for a cake break!

Luke was very serious during the singing of "Happy Birthday".

During the song he decided he needed to count his candles to make sure there were exactly 4!

Audrey loved her some cake!

After cake, the kids got to have about 15 more minutes of free time in the gym.  We busted out the party favors early, so everyone could use their super powers.  It was too cute!

Our first big party was a success, and it was so fun to see all of the smiles on my children and their sweet friend's faces.  You can't tell from the pictures, but we also had a ton of family come to celebrate Luke as well.  Both sets of grandparents, Uncle Will, Aunt Ali, Cousin Rebecca, Uncle Rett, Aunt Ashley, and Uncle Jeff all made it, as well as Memaw, Great Uncle Todd, Auntie E, Riley and Alexis.  Luke was super loved on this day!  Happy Birthday, to our Super Luke!

Boom!

This year we spent the 4th at the lake and had a blast.  We went out with Tula, Pop, Uncle Rett, Aunt Ashley, and Ben.  The weather was gorgeous, and we got to spend some nice time relaxing, eating and shooting off fireworks.  Here are my two patriotic cuties.

This is the first year we have done fireworks with the kids, and Luke was very into it.  They were very excited about their purchases. :)

Once it was time to shoot them off, Luke wanted to do everything, but was very patient, and obeyed all the rules of firework safety. Ben stayed at a good safe distance with Uncle Rett, and Audrey was trembling with fear in my arms on the porch. Poor girl!

Our two kids LOVE swimming and can't get enough.  This trip, Ben really warmed up, and was swimming like a little fish by the end of the trip.  He did awesome!

Once it got dark we got the "real" fireworks out and had a great little show by the lake.  The little kids were asleep, but Luke got to experience it for the first time.  The "big ones" scared him a bit, and he wasn't too sure about this sparkler.

On the last day of the trip my sweet son decided to pick flowers for all "the girls".  Mommy, Tula, Aunt Ashley, and Audrey all received a flower from him.  :)

The fourth wore this boy out!

We actually forgot our big camera for the fourth weekend (gasp!), so all the above photos were taken with my phone.  Here are some random shots from a previous lake weekend prior to Miss Rebecca's arrival.

I guess the fire was a little hot, notice how Luke moved his little chair back. :)

Luke was so inspired by the fire pit, that he decided to make his own.

We were there during the super moon!  Pretty super if I say so myself!
