Tuesday night at school was "Desserts with Dad" night. Luke was very excited to have a special night with just he and his daddy. In true Luke fashion, 2 minutes before leaving, he was jumping and skipping through the house, tripped and hit his lip. It was bleeding everywhere, but we slapped a towel on him to absorb all the blood, and Luke was as good as new. I swear, this kid gets more injuries!
After the little accident, they started the night off with a special dinner at Chicken Express. Luke thought it was very cool to go all by himself with Daddy. Once dinner was over, they headed up to the school and Luke got to show off his classroom and enjoy a yummy moon pie. His teacher noticed his fat lip right away, but just laughed, as she has witnessed his multiple injuries in her class. I guess we have a bit of a klutz on our hands! =)
When they got home, I was watching American Idol and Luke asked to watch some of the singers. He was really into it. In fact, a few days later we were walking in the book aisle at the grocery store, and Luke randomly spotted Steven Tyler's new book, pointed to it and said "American Idol". This cracked me up, as he really only saw the show for a few minutes. Can't get anything by this kid!
It was definitely a fun night for both my boys, and Brian even got a super cool personalized koozie out of the deal. =) We love Luke's school!
